Witnessed a mother duck trying desperately to save her ducklings .The family was hit by three or four vehicles on number 10 by minnedosa junction.The drivers had no chance of missing them,I was lucky enough to be over in the furthest lane by chance and didn't hit any of them,but it shook me up ..can still see mother trying to help her young ones...been a crappy day,,,

I've come close to hitting a family of ducks on one occasion. It is hard to see them when you are driving so fast. Nature always pays the price for trying to survive in our world.

Very sorry that had to happen.

How in the news recently that person stopped for ducks and the motorcycle passengers died. Just how you can't stop or you might kill someone else on the highway but how crappy you feel running over ducklings or the mama if you had no choice, was just hoping this situation didn't happen to me ever. Sorry it happened to you.

Both yesterday and today, in the small town where I live, there was no traffic and I was able to stop and shoo a baby Robin off the road. Sometimes we can help nature, sadly sometimes we can't.
