Since I moved to Brandon, it takes a long time for me to fall asleep. So, I end up sleeping pass my alarm in the morning and always rush to work. Now that winter is coming, warming up the car is going to be another task while rushing for work. Besides, I have no one to wake me up with a good morning kiss and all my instincts say that monk-life is for sure awaiting to continue through the winter. So, could anyone please suggest where I can install a remote start for my car and how much it's going to cost me?

that you find a good reputable one! That is all I can suggest. I would just wake up earlier and bundle up! Save yourself the headache. I had a local car dealership install one as a condition of sale in a vehicle a few years back. Had problems with the remote start right away. They said it was fine. We just left it in the vehicle without using it because it never worked. Just recently all my door locks and my headlight switch fried and I could not open my rear hatch. After taking the vehicle to two local dealerships and several visits and headaches it was a faulty install of the remote start that was the root cause of $1500 damage to my electrical system. The reputable, good, local installer had left a bare wire that was grounding on the column and it finally caused a failure. Seems now the manufacturer of my vehicle wants to run and hide! Trust me. I have learned my lesson. Installing aftermarket items in todays complicated vehicle systems is not the bes idea. I would save the hassle and go to bed earlier and wake up a little earlier. All about the routine.

However, cost plays a big role here. So, it would be really helpful if anyone could tell me how much would it cost to buy/install a remote start?

I had bought one at Canadian tire on sale for 199. and the install price was about 350. And we had one installed on my wife's car through the dealer and it ran us about 700.(it has a two way fob so you can see if its running or not). Now we have them we wouldn't go with out them. Even nice in the summer to to get the ac running for bit.

I understand it is frustrating and can be a big headache to go through an installation that doesn't work. I heard horror stories and also heard from friends who had such bad luck. Which is why I continued to go back to Don at TV city because I had good experience with him.  
It wasn't cheap by any sense. I paid about $550 including installation but then again, I didn't pick a cheap remote start either.

These guys have been doing remote starters for over 20 years and they are a very reliable place to deal with and you also get a lifetime warranty.

If I have remote start can they fix my fob key chain thing? My battery won't stay in place so it doesn't work
