Looking at buying an 08 Cobalt 2.2L. Wondering how the people that have them like em.

My GF bought one about 3 years ago, we've got 150k km on it now. Its been a good car, no major issues just routine maintenance. It has good jam on the highway to pass someone, although its not a crazy high quality vehicle, road noise isn't the best and seats aren't the most comfortable, but can't expect the world with a economy car such as it. Mileage has been about 7L/100km highway and around 10 in the city.

Insurance is a bugger.

I had an 08 Cobalt. Loved it. Seats were fine for me. I'm a bit bigger and did 12 hour drives just fine. Good gas economy. Little repairs. Insurance was about normal I'd say, mine was $115/month, about same as my car now and that's with a $300 deductible. After market remote starters and it did not mix, ended up having to have it removed. If I had the chance, I'd get a Cobalt again. Oh, and easy to get parts for even though that car isn't being made anymore by Chevy.

bought it new and was my daily (140 km) driver for 6 years. Now its doing 100 km a day for my wife. Right around 340000 km on the clock and will drive it until it dies. Keep the oil changed and it should last for a long time.
