    mechanics for repair work on a Mitsubishi

    I am wondering who would be recommended for mechanics here in Brandon to do some repair work on our Mitsubishi. Problem is that it won't start. Did the obvious and checked that the battery was good (it is) but it won't even turn over. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

    did you check the battery to ensure that it is good? Multimeter?

    But check that the battery terminals are nice and tight. I have had that happen where they were loose but enough contact to light up the lights and dash, but when the heavy load of the starter kicked in it broke the connection and wouldn't turn over. Other than that you might need a mechanic. I know Joe from Joe's Auto on 17th Street north re-built an engine from a Mitsubishi previously. Try him.

    Have you tried tapping ( ok whacking ) the starter to free the solenoid? The last cold streak was brutal on cars and it's possible that the starter could be sticking.
