I recently came into ownership of old Boler travel trailer which I intend to restore. The only issue is that I cannot for the life of me find a serial number anywhere on it therefore do not know the year of the trailer and I cannot set up ownership until a serial number is found. I ground the paint off the frame as much as I could but no signs of stampings anywhere. Nor is there any stickers or papers anywhere inside either. I'm guessing it's around a 1970/72 by the tail lights. I did find a plate stating it's a model 1300 manufactured in winnipeg but no dates. Anyone have any ideas where I could look further for a serial number?

Talk to someone at MPI and ask if it can be licensed as a homebuit since there is no identifying numbers on the trailer or body.  
How did the previous owner have it licensed? Is there any info on the TOD?  
It will still need to be inspected fir safety but an MPI rep would be able to answer your questions.

Previous owner did not have it licenced and also did not have a TOD with it. I talked to the insurance place today and they suggested trying vehicle standards and licensing and try to get a new VIN set up. I will try that, I was really hoping to find the original VIN but by the looks of it it may be like trying to find a needle in a haystack and without knowing the year it makes it even harder. From what I've read the VIN numbers aren't all necessarily stamped in the same spot on all trailers. Also there is a chance the frame could have been changed or altered at one time and no serial number even exists anymore

Used to own a Boler years ago. Seems to me you could find the serial # on a sticker listing vehicle specs located inside the closet door.

That's where mine was too on a Trillium and a boler
