About Us:
Brandon Terminal Ltd is a wholesale fertilizer distribution centre serving Manitoba and Eastern Saskatchewan. We are a high paced, year-round terminal that works daily with railway cars, large trucks, and wheeled loaders.
Job Summary:
Operator - is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of all on site equipment. This role includes daily maintenance and mechanical repair of all machines and storage facility equipment.
Operator's responsibilities consist of:
- Align with Brandon Terminal Ltd?s Health Safety and Environmental management plan and systems
- Operation/maintenance of wheeled loaders, railcar movers, and skid steers
- Operation/maintenance of all fertilizer handling equipment (bucket elevators, screw augers)
- Daily servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work longer hours if required
- Ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment that is forever changing
- Valid Class 5 driver?s license
Applicants are required to:
- Show strong commitment to safety
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license
- Be comfortable working outside in a variety of weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively
- The ability to lift and move heavy materials consistently
- Be comfortable working at heights.
- Be available to work overtime and weekends throughout the year and especially in busier agricultural seasons.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Heavy equipment experience is an asset
Location: 925 49th St East, Brandon MB
Job type: Full-time. 40 hours per week plus overtime as required
Pay range: Based on experience.
