40 bred heifers
Due April 22nd
Bulls out for 42 days (Jul 16-Aug 27)
Bred to home raised easy calving bulls.
Heifers were moved daily during summer grazing.
These heifers come from a cow herd that averages 1200-1300lbs. Since switching to spring calving 25yrs ago an emphasis has been put on fertility, feet and udders. These cows must raise a calf, get pregnant in 42 days, calve completely unassisted and have no problems with their feet or udder or they hit the road. 25yrs of enforcing this strict criteria has resulted in extremely easy doing, fertile, functional cows. Cows eat stockpiled grass in spring/fall, are moved daily during summer grazing and swath/bale graze during the winter months. Also have 15 bred heifers that were bought as calves in March. They were ran with the home raised heifers this summer. $5500 on them. Open to volume discounts
