Sales Agronomist ? Strathclair, MB
This is a full-time, permanent position.

What you?ll do:
Reporting to the Agro Sales Manager, the Sales Agronomist you will provide agronomic support, knowledge and exceptional service to our customers. This will include sharing knowledge of agronomic products, field scouting, agronomic trouble shooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations, inventory control and merchandizing, soil sampling, weed and insect identification.
You will build and maintain relationships with customers and support the Agro Manager in preparing and achieving budgeted goals and may be required to assist in other areas of the Agro department as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide producers with recommendations on seed selection, fertility planning, pest and disease management, and crop protection products.
- Perform field scouting, soil sampling, tissue sampling, and crop monitoring throughout the growing season.
- Use agronomic data and precision agriculture tools to prepare prescriptions, maps, and detailed reports.
- Stay current on agronomy research, new products, emerging technologies, and best management practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farm customers, understanding their cropping plans, challenges, and long?term goals.
- Promote and sell crop inputs including seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and agronomic services.
- Identify sales opportunities and proactively provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Support product positioning, demo plots, in?field trials, and customer education events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, field findings, recommendations, and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, product handling regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist with inventory planning and forecasting of agronomy product lines.
Who you are:

- Degree or Diploma in Agriculture and/or CCA
- Strong communication skills; both oral and written
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver?s License
