Virden Mainline Motors is currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Automotive Parts Associate to join our dealership team. This role supports both shop technicians and retail customers, playing a key part in keeping our service department running efficiently and our customers well looked after.

If you're organized, enjoy problem-solving, and want hands-on experience in the automotive industry, this role offers a great opportunity to grow. Previous parts or dealership experience is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Technician Support

• Assist service technicians and retail customers with parts and accessory requests
• Identify correct parts by asking the right questions and understanding customer needs
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly service in person and over the phone

Inventory & Ordering

• Monitor parts inventory and assist with ordering to maintain adequate stock levels
• Identify parts that are in stock, need re-ordering, or require special ordering
• Research part availability within the dealership or from external suppliers
• Obtain accurate information for special orders and ensure correct parts are received

Inventory Accuracy & Organization

• Assist the Parts Manager in resolving inventory discrepancies
• Locate parts efficiently using part numbers and bin locations
• Understand seasonal parts demands and recall-related requirements

Sales & Communication

• Recognize sales opportunities by recommending related parts or services when appropriate
• Communicate effectively with all dealership departments to support daily operations
• Proactively contact customers to provide updates or gather information when required

Requirements:

• General understanding of automotive systems (or a strong willingness to learn)
• Comfortable using computer-based inventory systems
• Strong communication skills (in person and by phone)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage workflow independently
• Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset
• Valid driver's license
• Previous automotive parts or dealership experience is an asset

Compensation:

Starting from $20.00 per hour
