Carpenters (Journeymen & Apprentices)
About the Role:
Keller Developments is growing, and we're looking for skilled Journeyman Carpenters and motivated Apprentices (Levels 2 to 4) to join our construction team. If you take pride in quality workmanship and want to build your career with a stable, locally owned company, we want to hear from you.
You'll work on a variety of residential, commercial, and multi-residential projects across Southwestern Manitoba, contributing to high-quality builds that serve our community. Journeymen will lead and execute skilled carpentry work, while Apprentices will develop hands-on experience alongside experienced crews.
Requirements:
Journeyman Carpenters:
- Valid Journeyman certification
- 3?5 years of carpentry experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and safety practices
Apprentice Carpenters:
- Registered Apprentice (Levels 2 to 4) or pursuing apprenticeship
- Previous construction experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn and grow in the trade
General:
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 3 is an asset)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform or assist with framing, finishing, and general carpentry work
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications (level appropriate)
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Move materials and maintain organized, safe job sites
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, trades, and project teams
- Deliver consistent, high-quality workmanship within deadlines
