Discussions

So, here we are with about an hour left in 2017, my thoughts are that there was a lot of pretty bad things on a number of fronts that went down last year. I would like to start a thread where us eBrandoners can post only positive things that have happened to them around Westman. There are already lots of threads where all we do is complain, and I am guilty of joining in on some of those (not too many I think!)  
So I would like this to be a a discussion of only good things that have happened to you...maybe it will make the Top 30 next year!  
 
I will start off with a great experience with a local farm supply store: I called them a couple of weeks ago, explained that we would not be in town till the next day, and did they have a certain item that was listed in their catalogue? The girl I spoke too said she would check on her computer but also went out the back to make sure it was physically on hand. I really needed two of the items, and she said she would see if there was any possbile way to get one from another store by the time we got to town. She not only managed to procure another one for me, she held them, gave me a sale price on them, and was simply a cheerful person to deal with!  
It was so refreshing to deal with someone who clearly cared enough to go the extra mile, and I thank you, we will be back to shop again!

and thankful to the nurses and nurse aides on 400 at Brandon General that took such awesome care of my Dad while he was a patient. Also the staff in ICU.  
Thru the laughter, tears and jokes we all managed to get thru it all! I know how much Dad appreciated their help.

I'm thankful for great friends. True friends are few & far between so I'm very grateful for them. We all survived 2017. Hopefully, we can get into a little more harmless trouble in 2018!

My MIL passed away the end of October. For her funeral, the family wanted a special item that represented her. She used to work at the green spot so we thought we’d check there. We went there to find them closed due to changing over to winter stock. My SIL explained the situation and they allowed us to come in and take a look anyways!! It was greatly appreciated <:3

Ever since turning a certain age I have come to realize that each day I wake breathing is a present I am grateful for. Reading news and papers strokes, cancer, heart attacks are ever increasing to younger and younger people it seems lately....or we are becoming more aware of it? Need more gym motivation that is for sure. Life is too short, enjoy what you can make of it.
