Hi blueeyedbabe,  
 
After you login your user menu will be available at the top of the screen. How you access will depend on what size of screen you’re using.  
On desktop or large screens you’ll see text at the top “logged in as (your username)” with a triangle next to it. Hover over that text/link for access to your posted ads, your posted events, your favourites ads, settings, etc.  
 
On phone or tablet sized screens that menu is accessed by clicking on the person icon in the top menu.  
 
One small thing to keep in mind... I built in a little visual feedback for to tell you if you’re logged in. On phone and tablet screens if you aren’t logged in you’ll see that the person icon is hollow. If you are logged in the icon will be filled in all white.

Sorry folks, goofed a bit on a quick forum tweak earlier this afternoon that temporarily caused a bit of a forum issue. All is good to go now.  
 
Re other suggestions, I have a list to go through of little updates here and there that i'll be going through after Christmas!

Where are all the photos? I didn't want to scroll through pages and pages of posts to find an answer. I used to see my photos in my profile ...not there now. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I only see ads that were posted after the update. How do I see the ones I had previously posted?

I may have missed something, but is there still a way to set alerts for specific ads?

Doesn't work on tablet, very slow, left 1/3 of screen blacked out, freezes up when trying to log in.  
 
Old site worked very well, have to use pc to view now.

Blueeyedbabe: if you send me a note through the contact link I can link up any old ads to your account. Or you can fill out the form at https://eBrandon.ca/login_reminder_classified.aspx to get access individually  
 
Flutterby: looks like that’s a link I’ll have to add to the main classified page. Might be another day or two before I get to that batch!  
 
Binford: have tried on a lot of tablets and had lots of support submits over the last couple weeks and those are all new ones that I suspect are specific to your device. Can you send a note through the contact link and and we’ll sort things out!

Thanks that link helps. You can’t log in though and see a list with all the ads anymore? It was helpful bc each item had the link to the ad so you could edit or delete them. Now you have to individually enter the id then password?

In this new site I have to login at least once a day! With the old site my iPad would always stay logged in. Any suggestions?

Oh you can definitely edit ads with your account in bulk and its a lot more intuitive than the clunky setup on the old site... just go to the "My posted ads" link in your menu. If you happened to post ads through the old site and didn't go through the "My classified ads" link you wont see them on the new "My posted ads" link and have two options:  
-send a support submission and I can manually link ads to your account that are under your same email address  
- use the link provided to access ads individually  
 
Going forward any ads posted when logged into your account will show on your "my posted ads" page and its all a ton simpler.

I did post on this one a few pages back but it sure is a long thread to hunt through!  
 
The photos section was discontinued. There were less people than I have fingers on one hand that were using it as a photo share like it was originally setup to be. Way too many folks were using it to advertise with posters or even classified ads. You were one of the ones that was using it for some of the great pics you take. If you'd like, feel free to send me a contact form submission and maybe we can work out something where it shows the pics you'd posted on your profile but just cant justify it as its own section in the main site menu!  
 
The good news is that pictures are a much more important part of the discussion forums. When making a post you'll notice there's a button you can click on to choose a picture and have it automatically shown right with your post. For those that want to share pics they've taken there's a great chance to share those pictures in active threads if theres a relevant discussion, or you might start a new discussion sharing your picture and asking others to do the same!

Its setup to remember logins if you check the box, but you might've found a bug! I have a list to work through over the next couple days and will i:nclude this on it.

I check the box but it seems like ever 24 hours or so I need to log back in

Today it logs me out every time I leave the site

Hey Adam, after I log in and choose the person icon all it gives me is my user name but not the inbox/outbox etc links.

I don't mind the new layout but the pictures are distorted.

Now that the holidays are over I've been working my way through a few updates...  
 
- there's now a link to subscribe to ad alerts from the classifieds main page  
 
- a glitch effecting the uploading of some pictures in discussion posts should be fixed  
 
- there was a glitch effecting postings in the "For rent" classified category if a street address wasn't given. Thats been corrected, you of course can choose whether or not you want to give the address of a rental when posting  
 
- not fixed yet but have put in quite a bit of time looking at what a few folks have mentioned with the login "remember me" checkbox not remembering your login when you return to the site. I know a lot of folks just use the browser's built in login remembering functionality but still want to have the checkbox offer that same feature on the login form on eBrandon for those that prefer to use it. Will keep on it  
 
- Soccerchick, what type of device are you looking at the site on? If its a larger screen you should just be able to hover your mouse over top of the "Logged in as (your username)" and it'll drop down a menu  
 
Things are going more and more smoothly by the day, but perfection is still the preference and so more to come!

One thing hubby mentioned is when he placed a paid ad the other day it didn’t post. He got the confirmation email though. He said it didn’t show as a posted ad in his account either and had to manually enter the ad number to look up the ad. Once that was done the ad showed up in the classified section as well as in his account.

I’m using an iPhone XR. I usually have to close the browser and sign in again for it to work

Finding the end of a thread takes time. Why have all the unnecessary stuff at the end that doesn't need to be there?

Thx! I’ve taken on a little more work by doing it but I’ve been having fun which is the name of the game as far as I’m concerned.  
 
Am learning a lot in a hurry about what folks look to read in that format... hasn’t been long but already a couple postings have around 6000 views and a handful more at 3000+. Have enjoyed seeing the effect it’s had on some threads that’ve been featured. A lot more shares on social media than I was expecting too which has been a nice bonus.  
 
Starting to see some ideas/tips come in for postings which really gives this the feeling of something that’s going to keep snowballing!

there is a bug in the discussion editor (editing an existing post) where escaped characters (like apostrophy) are not being unescaped properly before being displayed in the textarea. They then keep duplicating on every edit (exponentially).  
 
Live test started out with a single apostophy ('''''''''''''''').  
 
original: single apostophy  
first edit: apostrophy x 2  
second edit: apostrophy x 4  
third edit: aprostrophy x 8  
fourth edit: aprostrophy x 16  
 
I think the point has been made

I've found a "bug" in the discussions section when someone inserts a link into a reply. The link extenders beyond the text box once posted into the main discussion.

One update of note today. By popular demand, at the top of any discussion that has any replies to the right of the title you'll now see a double-down-arrow icon. That icon will take you down to the last post at the bottom of the page and save a world of scrolling on longer threads. I struggled for a while to feel comfortable with a way to accomplish this without taking away too much screen real estate, but I think the button thats there now does the job well.  
 
Also think I have the dreaded apostrophe bug licked, but I won't count my chickens before they hatch. Test edit coming after this post is submitted.  
 
Edit: If you see only one apostrophe in "won't" in the prev sentence, it worked!

How come I am not able to post pictures of items I have posted for sale? When I click on the "upload picture" it litterally does nothing. I could not post a pic of what i am wanting to sell.....am i missing something? Also, i can not see ANY pis of any kind on the site.....all for sale ad's have zero pics....just a square with a blue icon in the center.....even peoples profile pics dont show up.....cant send a screen shot because I can't upload pics...
