And then what when you move out charge you to clean it. So 2 x charge.
I would look for another place if you can't get this landlord to clean up the place before you move in.
Like was said before they go the previous tenants deposit so it looks like they are just keeping that and making you do the work. "
When I was a kid, our family did move into a home needing cleaning, etc. And they got a month's free rent for the cleaning and another month's free rent for doing the outside painting job.
Even then it was more than $100 from the landlord
