Your answer is yes.
Both chickweed and plantain are good for skin irritation as well. My first choice for actual itching would be chickweed. You can use it straight (bruised/scrunched and put directly on, or as a salve). We have used it with great success on rashes & winter eczema on the hands. It is a very safe herb.
You can find this tiny, delicate plant in the shade where it is a bit moist. It has a tiny star shaped white flower. The plant is edible and nutritious too and is great in salads.
I will share a few links with you so you can learn more about this fantastic plant. Pictures to help with ID are i:ncluded.

If your itching is from poison ivy, jewelweed or sweet fern are your best friends.
