Hello, I like to do calligraphy a lot and was really thinking if/how I could make money out of it (just to pay some of my bills while doing something I love). I am a university student and was thinking if people would like their names or their family member's names designed on canvas in a stylish way. I have done it for a few of my friends and they absolutely loved it. Could be a nice gift item, or a nice home decor, or even for weddings, locally made.

Have you tried posting an ad on ebrandon with samples of your work? That is where I post for my glass painting and it helps to make people aware of what you can do for them. Advertise that you can do more than names and make samples of your work with meaningful messages as well,

Making simple elegant handcrafted cards or invitations would be an idea, or advertise custom work for someone's idea. You could stumble across something very interesting this way.
