I lived in Waverley for over 7 years and thought it was one of the safest neighbourhoods in Brandon. Not anymore … Last night my son’s bike was stolen from the garage. It is a brand new over $700 mountain bike and was just picked from sports check a few hours before it got stolen. It is mainly silvery grey with some orange streaks. If you have any information or saw a similar one please message me or report to Brandon police. We filed a police report and hopeful they can locate it.

No where in town is safe. Lock your garage and sheds, register all bikes with Brandon Police through 529 Garage, put webcams that record video in your garage and outside your property.

No where is safe nowadays. I have faith in neighbourhood watch and Brandon Police and hope someone locates it and bring it back.

Good reminder about 529 Garage. You can register your bicycles though Brandon Police Service.  
 
Agree with a prior post that no neighborhood in Brandon is immune to this. It's pathetic when people work hard to acquire and enjoy things and lowlife thieves have zero respect for the simple concept that stealing is a crime and chop shops are shady as you know what.  
 
It's sad what happened to you. Sorry you had to go through this like many of us, unfortunately.

Thank you for sharing the 529 Garage website and for your sympathy and kind wishes. I registered the bike and set an alert. I am crossing my fingers my son will find this bike which he barely touched.

This is so sad to see our safe Brandon community turn into this. I lived in Brandon for over 16 years and this is the first time we experience theft and feel unsafe.
