Anyone posting an ad over the past couple of days may have noticed that the classifieds are receiving a bit of an update in order to make items easier to find in some of the categories that have grown so well.  
 
When submitting an ad in most larger categories, you now have the option of picking numerous "tags" that will help to further categorize your item.  
 
For example, when posting an ad under Clothing you can now pick any (and as many) of the following that apply to what you're selling:  
Mens, Womens, Pants, Shirts/tops, Footwear, Outerwear, Accessories, Dresses, Formal wear, Jackets/coats, Underwear, Costumes, Shorts and Skirts.  
 
If you for example are posting a men's shirt, you would check the box for "Mens" and the box for "Shirts".. and then when people are browsing, they will be able to click on a link within the Clothing category that only shows ads that match one of those tags (ie If I'm a man looking for clothes, it makes it a lot easier to not have to sort though clothes that are meant for women, and vice-versa).  
 
I'm hoping to have this update completely in place for Monday or Tuesday of next week, but before then I need a little help from a few regular classified users. We need to get all un-sold ads in the system "tagged." When there are close to 7,000 ads that's something I'm going to need a bit of help with.  
 
I've setup some very simple pages that make it easy to go through ads one-by-one to apply the appropriate tags to them. If you consider yourself fairly well versed in any of the following categories and can spare a bit of time to help out, please let me know and I'll send you a link:

- Clothing  
- Baby & Child Items  
- Electronics  
- Sport & Fitness  
- Home & Garden
