I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this post but.. Every once in a while I check out the classifieds on eBrandon to look for good deals on furniture, etc. I cant help but be amazed every time at the prices that people ask for, on items worth much less. I think it's great that we have these classifieds, for "one mans trash is another mans treasure".. But C'mon, people put dining sets up there that I'm sure are in good condition, and they may have paid $700 for it.. That still doesnt mean it's worth $300 now... I can go to Ashley and get a brand new one for that much, and a much more modern style not the old one you've used for years that's now out of style. I know if they are antique obviously they are worth more. But not the 5-year-old ones that are scratche up from your kids... I'd rather pay 50$ more in taxes and get a new, modern-looking one. There is one table on there that is not an antique, but it looks sooooo anciant! and the plastic-covered chairs are all cracked and ripped... the table is so ugly and old.. that's not even worth $1. That's garbage. And Tube TV's.. who sells those?? I can go to Wal-mart and get a much nicer, NEW flat screen for a very good price. Just a little thought, I know I'll get lots of people b*tching at me cause they have classifieds up, but I'm sure there will be many people who agree with me.
