Would that be great idea to have a rink or a path style for rollerbladders to go to. I do not mean bike and walk path where you have vehicle cross by I mean a place to rollerbladde without traffic vehiche which I find safer.  
I saw a video that someone was just rollerbladding in a rink style just as skating in a rink.

There is a couple in Winnipeg. Not sure where the roller derby team in Brandon practices but they must use some indoor space! Do a little digging maybe there is a hidden gem somewhere in Brandon!

I fondly remember the Wheelies roller skating rink...not quite roller blading but close! Spent some great times there with my friends when we were teens. Ahh, the 80s. Yeesh now I feel old.  
 
I wonder if roller skating would be popular enough to have one open again?

do not think there is a gem in Brandon for that type of rink. I never heard of it from anyone. What people say is path outside I find them not safe, cracks, stones, branches, vehicles to watch for.

I wish there was a great roller skating/roller blading facility in town, especially with the popular growth in roller sports lately. Unfortunately, no such place exists in Brandon (aside from the skate park but it's pretty limiting in terms of space for skaters and is usually quite congested with skateboarders and BMX bikers also sharing the space, though they are quite polite and respectful, giving space to others using the facility.  
 
The roller derby team (and junior roller derby team) practice in a rented space in Shilo.

wheelies closed it's been harder to find a place. The derby leagues practice in a rented building in shilo, some of the outdoor rinks used to have nice cement bottoms but there are none left that do.  
 
When I skate outside personally I go to the cemetery, the vets and childrens sections have fairly well maintained paths that you can skate on (being considerate of course) also the tennis courts offer a good place to skate with lots of room (stanley park is almost never being used for tennis) also basketball courts depending on the condition of the surface. Those who are struggling with debris etc outdoors could likely use better wheels. No matter if roller blades or quads outdoor wheels make a huge difference, lower the # on the side better they are for outdoor use.  
 
Though really I'd love to see a skate dedicated space in town again... I miss wheelies or at least an outdoor rink with a good cement base when the ice melts.

it can be possible to use a type of surface for the skate oval path for winter then use that path for roller blade in summer time.
