Driving to Drumheller

Driving to Drumheller in a few weeks. Not sure if I should take trans Canada all the way or go to Regina then head north west on highway 11 and
then west on highway 15? If anyone has done this trip please let me know.

You can't take the Trans Canada all the way, it doesn't go there. Your best bet would be to try Google maps and see what would be the best way - - it should show whether or not there is road construction too which could delay your trip.

Hwy 1 to 56 ab and go north . Best bet . 16 has a lot of construction.

is to take no 1 to regina then north to kennaston.left to outlook/rosetown.Then left to Kindersley /hanna and turn left again as sign indicated to Drum.Done it many times.Good road.etc.Happy Trails

I have gone this way and it is very nice.
Coming into Drumheller this way is pretty neat.
Take hwy 862 west of Hanna south to 570,turn west through Dorothy and you can see all the voodoos etc.
That road will take you right into Drumheller.
Its pretty interesting taking that route

Going this route is having to slow down through all those little towns.

Yes, Slow down and SEE the country. I will be doing that trip next summer and plan to stay off the TransCanada as much as possible. We have a great country beyond the highway.

Sounds like its a holiday,not a race.
How do you see the locals if you don't slow down and stop.
All these little places have a history and that's what a holiday is about.
