Interviews

Research the company a bit so you know exactly what their business practices are like and what they are looking for.
Rehearse a bit, in the mirror if you have to so you can see if you're showing any nervous habits, like playing with your hair or flailing your hands about too much (I'm bad for that. I talk with my hands a lot). I find that a lot of companies will ask generic questions about your strengths and weaknesses, so that those questions prepared. Any good interview will ask resume specific questions, so be prepared to respond to questions about old jobs/employers. Remember to be honest, but don't bash any old jobs/managers.
I am a manager who does hiring myself, and a huge red flag is when someone is overly negative. And, late. If someone doesn't walk in for their interview 15 minutes before they're scheduled, I've already started to write them off. In my eyes, if you're not early for the interview, what makes me think you'll be a bit early/on time if/when I actually hire you.
