We put our house on eBrandon for three weeks. We had 12 viewings the first week and a half, and one offer that fell through. After three weeks it seemed that interest had dropped off even though we'd had over 2,600 views but had no more calls for showings. We also threw and ad on Kijiji at the same time and had a whopping 38 views, so that seemed to be a waste of time, but it's free so that's ok. We decided to go with a realtor and had the house listed not quite two weeks ago and have already had 19 groups of people come through to view. It's not sold yet, but I think by not having it listed through the mls system means that you're essentially only targeting a very small portion of potential buyers. I'm sorry to say that there's a large percentage of people who just don't go onto eBrandon. It's certainly worth throwing on an ad here, but to make it your entire advertising plan may not work well in your favour. I know that paying the 3-6% commission sucks, but in my opinion that's the cost of advertising to a much broader audience and more than likely getting closer to your asking price.
