Has anyone heard if the plans to open up Original Joe's in Brandon is still happening or have they decided not to open here at all anymore?

Haven't heard a whisper. Don't know exactly what happened but so many changes coming locally re restaurants that what seemed like a good idea a year ago might not necessarily today with three franchise restaurants to be built, 4 if you count BP on the hill. If anyone has more definitive info on if there are any future plans please share!

The restaurants in Winnipeg, and I'm assuming franchise, are no longer 18+ establishments. Even though I have children of my own, a nice supper with no kidlets around is a nice option .... sad to find this out.

The site where the restaurant was suppose to go was put back up for sale in the winter time. The site was suppose to be the were the Western Motel is. So I'm thinking the deal fell through.

Not necessarily Brandon-specific, but saw in the news that Cara (Montanas, Swiss Chalet, East Side Marios others) has bought the Original Joe's chain:
