Would you be interested in a piano if we delivered it curbside to your place for the price of fuel come summertime? It is most likely less than 4 hours to your place from here. I say summer because it is way too hard in winter & will be too sloppy in spring.
We have given this offer to others within an hour of our place and they say no. We don't want to be responsible for damages should moving the piano damage the doorway or floor or something. That is why curbside.
My point is, almost everyone wants everything for free, and it is a lot of work (and can take a lot of fuel) to move these. Also, so many people are conditioned to like the electronic sound more, and like the space saving and ease of moving aspect of an electronic piano. This makes it difficult to find new homes even for the best old piano.
I wondered of someone could do with the pianos as they have in other large cities and have a few decorated and set out here & there outside for anyone to sit down & play. I would imagine they are covered in the rain and taken in for the winter.
I suspect that Brandon is too small and that an appropriate place (street or area) doesn't exist. I have some ideas, but I am not sure anyone would agree to them.
