Good morning, my family and I are planning to get a puppy from another country. I wonder if is there an airport here where my puppy can be ship? Thank you in advance

We found it cheaper to fly to the country and bring it back ourselves as shipping them will cost more than your airfair

I think you should contact the Winnipeg/ Regina Airport for information. Contacting or looking at the border crossing laws when it comes to this type of travel as well. Each country will have their own laws and requirements. Also contacting any of the Vet clinics or animal rescues for more information. I am sure there is a lot of paperwork and planning to go into this as far as the animal's heath etc.

When we moved here from the UK our 2 cats flew into Winnipeg and that was the old terminal so I am sure the new terminal has the facilities too. We flew in 2 weeks before via Toronto but got the cats on a direct flight to Winnipeg so it was less stress for them. My sister looked after them and then took them to the airport. We used a specialist animal transport company that dealt with all the paperwork and told us what we needed to do. (vet checks before they left etc). Then when they arrived at Winnipeg there was a vet there that checked them over again and then handed them to us to take home. Pretty easy, not cheap, but there was no way we were leaving them behind.

The OP asked about pets flying into Winnipeg. They did not ask advice about getting a pet. I noticed another post where people on here are slamming posters for asking a questions or making a comment. It sure is getting negative on here, soon people will not want to post at all.
