These kinds of discussions that examine perceived trends can be interesting but personally I always look for stats to help make sure there isn't a gap between perception and reality. OP when you say East End I'm assuming you mean North of the tracks, East of 1st St?
Checking out the Realtor.ca site and doing a search on properties one can see a city map that shows numbers by area of the city. I'm seeing 23 listings within that particular area out of 300+ that come up in a search for Brandon, unless you're including Green Acres? Or are you meaning that those 23 are more than what you feel you've noticed in past years in East?
When I scroll around there are some areas with more than others but am not sure I see any that to me goes as far as jumping off the page for being an anomaly compared to the rest of the city.... but maybe someone else digging further can find something of interest? Interestingly in terms of home for sale ads posted on eBrandon that have given an address, the city ward with the highest amount is Richmond (South Central) and it isn't even close.
