Wondering how UPS shipments are delivered?  
Do they come via Canada Post or is there a dealer/agent that does deliveries in Brandon.  
Tracked order to as far as Winnipeg on Monday but have had no updates since then !

I think Purolator handles their packages locally.

I've had a few packages delivered by ups these past weeks. they've often come around 5pm in their own personal vehicle

I've had UPS shipments just left on my doorstep if nobody was home. I'm not impressed. Is that standard procedure for UPS and Purolator?

Has their own local trucks.  
 
Keep in mind, these people are not UPS employees. They are independent contractors that buy a route.

I used to work in a different city at a place that did a ton of shipping with both carriers, and our staff said UPS stands for "Use Purolator Stupid". We had to use UPS for international shipments and quite often had problems, but I don't think it was always their fault. Every carrier has their good stories and bad - this is just a joke.

The UPS service in Brandon is contracted directly from UPS. The routes are not purchased.  
 
At this point in the year (December) UPS is EXTREMELY busy with the added pressure of making sure ALL CHRISTMAS GIFTS get delivered before the 25th.  
 
Purolator is not Canada Post's courier service, but they are owned by Canada Post. Canada Post has their own courier service. Purolator competes directly with the Canada Post courier service.  
 
UPS is delivered by MNC COURIER in Brandon and the surrounding area www.mnccourier.com. If you have any concerns please email admin@mnccourier.com. Even if it's not a UPS package they can likely point you in the right direction.

To anyone who is annoyed by UPS just leaving packages laying around. Canada Post does the exact same thing unless a signature is required.
