Is there an inexpensive way to put GPS on/in company vehicles? Safety and health recommends this for our traveling sales people (or phone and check often and make note and time of where they are).

If you are using the google maps app on your phone, there is an option to share your location via a link with someone for a predetermined amount of time(like when your on the road) or you can just share it perpetually until you revoke the link. It will show your location every-time the phone connects with the google location service. If you use google maps also, there is a feature to see a rough timeline of where you traveled on a certain day. it is like an overlay that is displayed on the map and is a bunch of lines showing your trip.

We used a company called Fleetmatics. I am unsure the costing though. It was used on all our semis. We do another company but cannot remember the name. It also includes digital log books.
