Suggestion on retirement home

My father is needing to go into a retirement home as soon as possible. He only has an income of about $1,600/month. Is there any retirement home that would be within his price range in Brandon? Or if there’s any place that would charge him based on his monthly income? We would really prefer him go to a retirement/independent living home rather than nursing home. Any help would be wonderful.

Hi. Under apartments for rent search Souris. There are a couple options to looks at. Hope that helps.

There isn't anything in brandon for someone with that income ...we have been looking..
You either have to go into an apartment and get home care or go into a retirement home such as Victoria landing riverheights terrace and have 3-4000 a month..
And good luck finding an apartment if there are any signs of dementia..
I would love to know as Well if someone knows of somewhere ....

Odd fellows, Sokol manor, etc? Are they as pricey as RHT and Victoria landing? I know there are quite long waiting lists to get into them though. Nursing homes generally are based on income but he would have to require 24/7 medical care to get a bed.

Hobbs Manor has very reasonable rent and nice apartments, but I'm sure there's a waiting list. May be worth checking out.

They have apartments for seniors and the rent is income adjusted.
