I don't think the risk of kidney stones is that great on keto as long as you ensure that you keep hydrated. I find that I'm peeing a lot, but I'm drinking a lot as well. I've been eating like this since early Nov 2017 and so far I'm down about 40lb and two pant sizes.
All I can say is google, google, google. There is a lot of info out there - a lot good, some not so good. Join online groups. Ask questions. Oh, and don't waste your money on "supplements" that say they will get you into ketosis faster. They are a waste of money. If done right, this way of eating will just work, and your body will know what to do.
Good luck.
