Does anyone know if there is anywhere locally to get allergy testing done? I was looking through previous discussions but they are all very old 5/8 years old. So was hoping someone may know?  
I would like to know if it's food sensitivities causing my skin issues.

Nothing left for allergy testing here in Brandon anymore. What you need is a referral for your family doctor for an appointment in Winnipeg. Once you get it, the appointments are generally three to six months wait to get in.

Correct in the referral part, but the waits are currently 12-18 months, unfortunately.

Yeah the wait takes forever mine was over a year to finally get in for one!

Dr. N. Cisneros still came to Brandon once a month. We sure miss him.

Is right! I guess I had better get on it ASAP then. It's unfortunate we don't have these services here.

Last year got the referral in April and had the appointment in July with Dr. Cisneros. Got to do a follow up this year and probably be in September - October. They're supposed to call soon to book a time for the fall. I guess we have friends "on the inside".

It could depend on the person (adult vs child) and the severity/ type of allergy they are experiencing.

Referral was sent in May 2016. We still have not heard anything other than one letter a year ago telling us to inform them if we move.

Ask for a referral to Dr. Datta in Regina. Was referred March 20th. Got a call March 22nd. Saw him a month later, and had to do another appointment and go back next week.

For Cisneros it was a 23 month wait for my son.  
 
We were on his waiting list for my daughter as well, so I cancelled that referral and asked for an adult doctor referral instead. It was still 17 months for her to get in for an appointment (I believe her name was Hicks)  
 
I was told by his intern that Dr Thess has been trying to get permission from the government to do allergy testing out of his office, but I can't see how that would help since the wait for Thess is so outrageously long already.

Unfortunately Regina is just too far to go.  
 
I will have a chat with my doctor and see with whom would be the best for me to see, with my chronic illness it's likely I can get in somewhere sooner then a year and a half. I appreciate everyone's input it's been very informative
