floor sleeper

I am a floor sleeper and a side sleeper.
If you are a side sleeper, get a thick pillow (maybe even two regular pillows to stack). This will keep your neck aligned. If you are curvy in the hips, placing a flat pillow or a folded throw size blanket blow hip level will help to keep you comfortable. I also recommend getting a 2-4" foam mat for under you. 2" if you have a carpet floor. 4" and a thick yoga mat or piece of carpet underlay if you are on a hard floor. This will help soften the surface.
A Tatami mat (flat mat for sleeping used in Asia) would be the best, but I am not sure where you would be able to get one besides online. Having said that, it would certainly be something to consider if it helps you.
But I used to wake up with back pain and numb hands and arms when I slept on my bed. Have not had numbness or back pain since sleeping on the floor.
