Last I knew, no. We had to be referred to one in Winnipeg, and it was a long wait to get to see him.

I’m currently seeing Dr Thess in Portage but he only tests for environmental allergies.

The one on Winnipeg tested for food allergies as well as other allergies.

You should expect the wait time to exceed 18 months.

You need a referral to Winnipeg. Your wait time may be shorter if your doctor marks your referral as “urgent”

We saw the one in Winnipeg within 4 months. Not sure if we were considered urgent. Was a med allergy.

I saw the allergy doctor in Winnipeg and waited 2 years. I wasn’t deemed urgent though. He did explain to me that wait time depends on the severity of attack. If it’s serious it will move ahead of someone waiting. Talk to your doctor and get referred ASAP.

We got a referral for my daughter when she was less than a year old. The allergist's office called when she was seven. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. A six year wait?  
 
I (thankfully) had forgotten what problem she was having that the doctor suggested referring her in the first place. I felt like telling the caller that she had died of an allergic reaction, but I just politely declined the appointment time they were offering.
