I am currently looking at signing up for health insurance through Green Shield Canada. Does anyone out there have any personal experience or knowledge about this insurance provider?

at Walmart. A few months ago I was waiting to pick up my prescriptions & the lady in front of me was upset because Green Shield wasn't covering some of her items. The pharmacist mentioned that Green Shield was NOT covering things that most other health plans would. Obviously not first hand but worth looking into further before you sign up. Blue Cross, Sun Life, Great West Life and Manulife are established companies providing extra health coverage that you might want to look into. I Had Great west Life at one job & they were fantastic to deal with.

We have green shield and like it, when we were looking for insurance coverage we found green shield to be the best coverage for the price per month, they have 4 different packages to choose from! Found one that suits our needs. Hope this helps!

Have had Green Shield coverage (company coverage) for 20 plus years with no problems,

Had Green Shield for several years, and find them very helpful and good never found a drug yet they would not cover.

Look at this discussion. Tommy Douglas must be rolling in his grave.

Not sure Green Shield would cover that!
