When using your cpac does yours make noises it's just as annoying as the snoring . I guess question mostly about the partners that have to listen to the annoyance .

Partner of a snorer here lol...I don’t hear the cpap machine but if he takes it off to go to the washroom, the blowing of the air usually wakes me up and makes a quiet noise. His have always been quiet...maybe something is wrong with your machine?

Could be a few things, most common would be the mask leaking or condensation in the tubing especially with this humidity

Are you asking because your partner is thinking of getting one or is the one you have already making noise? My husband’s CPAP machine is very quiet. Definitely better than the snoring! He has a fairly expensive high quality machine. My friend’s husband had a poor quality machine and she said his made a lot of noise. He’s since upgraded and much better! With that being said, his machine definitely makes noise if the humidity is too high in hose. He bought a hose cover and that has helped, especially in the summer.

I have a CPAP, and my hubby says he does occasionally notice a bit of noise but not loud. In the summer when we have a fan running, the CPAP definitely isn't louder than that. I have a heated hose, which also helps with the humidity in the hose. Definitely any noise coming from my CPAP is NOTHING compared to what the snoring used to be!!

Just get a divorce. Way easier

if the machine is noisy, how old is it? has it been cleaned regularly, filter changed regularly? I have had 4 machines and none were noisy. If this is old, noisy, just replace the machine. Buy a new one on line to get the best price, about 1/4 of the local price, same with masks. The local company will not service something not bought from them, so just buy a new machine at that time and you will still be further ahead. if you have a corp, you make be able to make that expense a business expense.

The mask isn’t sitting on my husbands face properly which will lead to a noisey husband. I for one take a pres:cription sleeping pill or just go into the spare bedroom to sleep lol

That used to be the case when there was only one place to buy CPAP machines in town. Their prices were insane but also insurance covered a lot. Now I believe the new rules MB Health will only cover $250 lifetime. However now that a company from Winnipeg has opened up a shop in town their prices are very similar to those "online" stores and to be honest the customer service is better too. Ya you might save a couple bucks buying online but good luck if you have issues. The price difference at MediGas is very reasonable. My wife uses a Res-Med Air Sense 10 and it is silent, I never hear it at all. Pop in check them out, ask questions... MediGas at 1617 1st Street.

like ResMed let you go online & look at whether the mask seal is good, how many times it leaked, how many times you took it off etc. which could be adding to the noise. I use that info to see if I need to change the mask or tighten the head straps etc. My machine doesn't make much noise but I still wander off to the spare bedroom many nights because the husband snores like a bandsaw & I can hear it even over the sound of the machine! Guess it's payback for all the years I disturbed HIS sleep every one of the 240 times a night I experienced sleep apnea!!
