that it is not one of the places that I would necessarily choose to travel to at the moment. However if you look at the travel advisories, for Italy and other parts of the world, Canada is still recommending to take normal security precautions (with the exception of Northern Italy)
Many people that have booked tours need, in order to cancel and receive their money back, to have Canada issue a "non essential Travel warning " travel advisory. Its confusing considering they have closed schools and cancelled events to attempt to contain any further outbreaks.
Unfortunately the country is still driven by money and is not yet ready to take this step.
Heck they are still not quarantining or screening people as they enter the country? We do not need to live in fear but we as a country need to be a bit sensible and take precautions.
