So my understanding is cant cross borders without being quarantined. Does this apply crossing into sask for a few hours? With no contact with anyone. I know border towns can cross without being quarantined.

never said it doesn't apply to me. since towns like russel can cross the boarder since they are a boarder town, and the rules dont apply to them. i simply asked if you make no contact with anyone while across for a few hours does it warrent being isolated

I have a conveyor to pick up from Regina wondered if I could still do it. Would on ly be out of truck for 5 minutes to hook it up then start trek home

It was in the news as a recommendation that interprovincial travellers should self isolate for 14 days with a few exemptions. People who travel for necessities because they live in border towns. People who travel for work ie: transport and trades workers as long as healthy.  
 
They have have people set up at some border crossings now. Not sure what all they tell you or if you get questioned when entering or leaving the province but I would say if you don't have to leave then don't.

edit: A month back, I booked a trip to Brandon and hotel from here in BC. Was going to stay a week starting May 2.  
(would be nice to see the restrictions come down by then, but I am sure I can get refund on my deposits).

Well you’d be stuck in mandatory isolation for 14 days, and if you don’t could potentially receive a fine if reported to the authorities. Not really the time for a week long Vacation here in Brandon. Keep your germs there, thanks (:

Are to not travel anywhere unless it is essential.

Manitoba is requesting that all travelers (international and domestic/inter-provincial) self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival.  
 
So, assuming the restrictions are still in place, you would need to remain in your hotel room for the entire 7 days, including not able to go out for meals.  
 
You probably want to see if you can make cancellations.

I think it will depend on what you do. If you just cross the border, drive around a bit, never leave your vehicle or go through a drive-thru etc, and come back, that I don't see the issue.  
 
If you get out, touch o:bjects, get gas, etc. Then yes, I think you would need to self-isolate as you have engaged in activities that could potential infect you.

Here is an article, and it appears its to tell people coming into Manitoba they have to do a 14 day isolation.

how bad would you feel in some how you contracted it and brought it back home with out even knowing then all of a sudden family and freinds get sick mean while they have gone out shopping and left germs now more people shopping have it they take it home and spread it. GET THE PICTURE. THIS IS HOW IT IS SPREADING. STAY HOME AND PICK IT UP WHEN ITS SAFE TO DO SO
