From what I understand...

I cannot speak on behalf of any pharmacy or their store policies, but I been made to believe that the majority of pharmacies usually do "blister pack" prescriptions monthly. There are the exceptions for some. Pre-approval by the Patients health/insurance carrier, snowbirds/traveling, distant/northern residents and possibly those steady/long term clients that hardly have changes in their Rx. Lots pay the dispensing fees and lots do not. I don't believe this is some kind of money grab to benefit the industry. For a pharmacy to be efficient, redoing blisters due to Rx changes is a form of waste with time, energy and material (packs cannot be reused or recycled). Call around if you like, but many will probably hesitate to fill three months unless you have a good reason or are a regular with a good history.
What the Arizona Queen had before was not the standard practice. Probably, she was made the exception by my assumption of having "Arizona" in the name that she's a snowbird and is away for most of the winter. Times have changed this spring and policies are likely to be followed a lot closer within this industry. Don't hate these people who follow the rules. Shop and call around to see if any pharmacies are filling blister packs for longer than one month, but I'm thinking most will be in the same boat as her current supplier. ...Returning to their original dispensing practicing outlines and maybe start again with making the exceptions once "a new normal" settles in during this pandemic.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
