I have a three year old Fitbit Alta. It's been a great watch/fitness tracker, but for the past few weeks it has shut down randomly throughout the day. The battery shows that it has a good enough charge, but then it vibrates, flashes and dies. About two months ago it didn't seem to charge correctly, but after a thorough cleaning of the charging port it seemed to be better for a while. Moisture also seems to sometimes be a factor in it shutting down.  
If anyone else has a similar Fitbit please share your thoughts. Is it just too old and needs to be replaced? If it does need replacing, what Fitbit model do you recommend?

I have the same model and the same problems. I am looking at a Apple Watch series 3. Fitbit isn’t as cheap as they once were
