Have three front teeth that have been chipped and don’t want the uncomfortable feeling of having a flipper in my mouth and can’t afford a bridge. Was reading a bit about bonding but my dentist was trying to talk me out of it because he says it doesn’t last. Even if it lasted a couple years I’d be happy for the time being. I don’t have $7000 for a bridge and never will. Is it painful to get done and what are your thoughts? Most of my other teeth are in decent shape but the front ones are not so good. Don’t want dentures.

If by bonding you mean glueing to the back of the teeth on each side then I tried it years ago. Wasn’t painful but after it let go for the third time I gave up on it and went back to a denture or a partial as they like to call it here , which I’ve now lived with for most of my life with very little trouble.

I had two lateral incisors bonded about 25 years ago. All is still fine. Dr Bonar did it and I’ve been very happy

From the little bit that I’ve read so far they use a plastic resin cement type of substance to fill in the space.

My front tooth was broken half off 20 years ago and Dr Zoerb did it and it’s still there and looks fine! I would try it atleast and see, it’s way cheaper and easier than the other options

Ok that’s good to know. So far one thumbs up and one thumbs down. I will do some more research on it too. Cost wise definitely a lot cheaper.
