Hi a while ago Dr. Stitt on 18th Street retired as a Chiropractor. Does anyone know what would have happened to patients' xrays? I need mine for a consultation. Are they being stored somewhere? Thanks for any help.

Sure if by definition X-rays taken of you (by any lab etc) would be your property but I’m pretty sure they have to release them to you if you request them...like for a second opinion maybe. They certainly request that you return them, which, if you are planning to continue your related health care at that facility would be in your best interest anyway. Chiropractors usually will not be interested in seeing another labs images...$$$

Just a shot in the dark...but I would try calling Dr. Alan Stitt at Atlas Chiropractic (204-571-1880). Dr. Gerald Stitt from Stitt Chiropractic on 18th Street may have transferred his files, x-rays, etc. to his brother, Dr. Alan, unless a patient requested their files be specifically transferred to another office.  
 
I worked at a local chiropractic office a number of years ago and we did on occasion request patient images, if recent, from other offices, clinics, the hospital, etc. in order to save a patient from having to have a second set of images taken. That may have changed in recent years though.
