Hi - I'm trying to find out who to contact about getting some really good outgrown girls clothes to those who really need it. Samaritan House is only taking adult clothing: I wondered if there was a shelter for abused women who have left their homes with nothing (and are sheltering with their kids). Is there such a place in Brandon? I know locations are secret but what organization would I contact to touch base with? Thanks for any assistance!

You can contact YWCA for donations. I’m not sure of the contact info, but they have a location on 11st between Rosser and Princess downtown. You can definitely start there, and they should be able to help with your inquiry. There is also the 7st access, they may have some information as well. If those two locations are unable to help, there is always Value Village and Salvation Army. But I would start with the first two locations. Elspeth Reid also is an option - they try to have such things available for people in need. They're on 9th and Lorne.
