Not just Manitoba but the ability to test for COVID-19 with the Omicron around has gone way pass any maximum capability. Now it is rapid testing for people.  
 
Personally and my thoughts so don’t jump on  
Me.  
 
I think we should drop testing all together and just supply everyone with rapid testing.  
 
And strongly enforce with large fines stay home if you are sick no matter why you want to leave the house unless a medical appointment or if symptoms worsen and you have to go to ER.  
 
If anyone comes to ER without symptoms and wants test send them home with rapid testing kit.  
 
There would also have to be government intervention that insurance companies and worker’s compensation and employers accept rapid testing. Especially for COVID long haulers.  
 
Then redeploy all these people to help relieve other health workers. Whether sick or totally exhausted.  
 
We are not getting rid of COVID-19 by testing. Even the fact that people go out to be tested exposes others.  
 
Vaccinations and public health rules are the one out. Get vaccinated ASAP. When eligible for 3rd get that too.  
 
Follow the rules. Wear a mask inside or out. Stay 6 feet apart. Stay out of crowds. Cut down how many of you shop if possible. Use hand sanitizer. No unnecessary travel. Only socialize with vaccinated people especially if there are young children.  
 
Stores - put back proper hand washing stations. Some have taken them away put them back.  
 
Stores - think about reducing capacity even without orders. Even a 25% reduction helps. Better than waiting for public health to do it.  
 
Eating places - if you found pickup delivery and driv thru didn’t affect business profit perhaps close inside dining.  
 
I know one fast food had only 5% drop in business with drive thru making up the rest.  
 
Up to you as I know many only survive with indoor.  
 
I have always thought that applications from a retail store that needs security to keep people follow rules should be able to apply to government to be able to hand out tickets when necessary.  
 
 
For the long term outlook. A hospital should be built that only handles communicable illnesses. There are many out there and after COVID-19 there will be others. That way other hospitals can get down to the business of helping Manitoba get well.

Disorganized chaos!

Totally agree, Farmer George, true chaos.  
Don:t understand, what the hold up is , with the goverment and health dept, putting a plan in place, what with over 3000 new case each day,( in Manitoba, alone .)  
And with omicron spreading so fast, whats with the events, travel, ect. still taking place, while indivdals need to isolate, cause they might have the flu, or omicron: just doesn't make sense.
