Have had 2 shots & booster so now do we have to get a new IC to prove we have all 3 shots ?

No your immunization card is fine. Three shots are not required. (recommended, but not required for entry into events, restaurants etc)

Immunizer told us that Current immunization card remains in use . Immunizer told us that immunization record will be updated to show the three shots .

After our boosters it was suggested we order new updated cards which we did and received within 2 weeks.  
The new card now says “Immunization Card” on top old card had “COVID 19 vaccination card “ in top left hand corner.  
We also got updated Pan Canada cards for travel (PVC) our print outs and digital cards now show all 3 vaccines on them.  
Guess it up to the individual but we choose to get the updated ones as we will be travelling in Canada by air in the future to see family.

I called to ask about ordering a new card after my booster and was to I did not need to, the old record would be updated. I do have the print out of my 3 doses, so I think I'm good. I have only used my card once in 7 months anyway.

Just reorder after your 2 weeks same as before and printout your new PVC for travel.  
 
That’s all we did . I just figure eventually the government is going to ask for the PVC showing 3 vaccines for travel so may as well be ready.

You said your immunizer said that the card in your wallet would be updated to reflect a third booster??? Lol please re read that I think you may have lost something in translation. You can apply for a new one after your booster.

Knew I saw the info somewhere. It’s on the first page where you order your vaccine cards etc.

The record will be updated -that is exactly what the person said when I called in to ask. The person specifically said I did not need to order a new card-the record will be updated after the booster dose. And it was updated, just as she said it would be.  
 
You can apply for a new card....but it is not necessary at this time. I think I will wait and see if we need a 4th dose in the spring-will wait and order a new card then if necessary.

That is what we were told , We did not have to order a new card. Maybe he was wrong but he said that when it was scanned it would show the three doses.

When you got your booster your records where immediately updated.  
All your CARD is , is a QR code that brings up your vaccine record when scanned

Yes or No you are vaccinated with your name. A thing a check mark for yes.

Personally I would like my picture to pop as well so not bothering with two step process.

Someone said they were going to the US. Your Manitoba vaccination card will get you into the US but it won't get you home. The federal government does not recognize the Manitoba vaccination card or QR code. You will need to apply for a federally recognized card, and then apply it to your ArriveCan app. But you can't do that because ArriveCan does not recognize Manitoba government information. So you will need to delete your ArriveCan profile and redo it with the proper QR code and vaccine info.

Traveling in USA or anywhere else requires you to have a Federal documentation which shows dates and types of vaccinations. There is no physical card.  
 
For re-entry remember to enter your data on Federal entry database or you will face fines etc. For each of you from age 12 and up.  
 
Sorry I don’t have website info but should be easy to find.  
 
And one other step research any country you may travel in (USA states) as there may be different requirements.  
 
Last thing you need is hefty fines on your return they costs more than your trip.
