Looking for fellow ladies that are suffering with uterine fibroids! Advice on how to cope with the discomfort (Abdominal swelling, back and leg aches, weakness in bladder) as well as any specialized dr recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated!
My current dr is recommending hysterectomy - which is ok but being off work for 6-8 weeks is not easy!

its been so long since I had mine that I don't have any advice other than get the surgery! Its not as invasive as it was 20 years ago and it made all the difference for me.

I agree with other poster…have the surgery. I had fibroids that had wrapped around my bladder. The recover time seems correct, as I was off work for two months. They have probably improved surgical procedures since I had mine 25 years ago. Good luck to you.
