Does anyone know of any elementary school aged sports that is offered indoors during the winter months, besides hockey? Does soccer or basketball run during the winter? Thanks!

There’s a racquetball group that focuses more on learning skills. Check Brandon Racquetball Association. Also there used to be floor hockey leagues for kids too. Can always do swimming or skating lessons too.

Also look up the Fieldhouse.

Both Brandon and Riverview curling clubs have youth curling. Riverview is on Tuesdays or Fridays at 4:30, and Brandon club is on Thursday at 4:15. Check their websites or Facebook pages for more info on prices and registration. It’s a relatively inexpensive winter sport that will keep your kid active in the winter (and if they enjoy it, it can be a lifelong sport!).
