I am wanting to look into going to therapy. Not short term counselling but something more long term and covers broader topics and issues.  
 
My question is, are there any places in Brandon that direct bill to Manulife or is it something you have to pay out of pocket for and then submit to your inurance plan?  
 
I’m already worried about the costs associated since therapy is not cheap and inflation sucks these days, but I also know, I need help with some things going on in my life.  
 
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure you can get an answer here. You would for sure get your question answered by calling different therapists and asking them. First check to find the therapists who direct bill and see if they direct bill to your company health plan.

I am the benefit administrator at my work. Here are my recommendations: check with your plan administrator to see if you have EAP (employee assistance plan) there is usually a direct line to call to use this. (This inquiry should be confidential if they tell any other employee about your inquiry go straight to HR). If they do not know if you have EAP call the number on your insurance card and ask about EAP. They will have certain providers in the area they use and that direct bill. If you do have EAP they usually offer telephone counseling (fastest way to get an appointment), internet (Skype) counseling (medium waiting time) and then in person direct billing counseling (usually longest wait of the three options) Be honest and use the service that will work best for you depending on the urgency of your situation. Your mental health is important and remember everyone needs help sometimes and it is OK to ask for help. Good luck to you.
