My name is Karri, I've started a gofund me for my son Chris Ducharme and daughter in law Lindsay Morris. Lindsay went into early labor at 30 weeks...she found out after being flown to Winnipeg to St Boniface hospital that baby had a heart defect and would need surgery to survive. They were flown to Edmonton and tried to keep baby inside as long as they could. At 34 weeks on August 5th Baby Evie Rose was born. She was taken into surgery to open the left valve but then once it opened it wouldn't close. Finally the doctors were able to close the valve but then her left lung collapsed. Evie still needs to have surgery to fix the valve but they hope baby can grow a little more before they do operate on her. I started a go fund me to help them financially as my son Chris Ducharme had to leave work to be with his wife, son Milo and Baby. I hope the Good people of brandon and area find it in their hearts to donate or even send prayers...we are greatly appreciative of those who have donated already and sent prayers.

Thoughts and prayers for baby Evie and all her family

Update on Baby Evie Rose. She was placed on the heart transplant list...shes 3 weeks old now but doctors have decided she needs a new heart....it looks like Chris and Lindsay will be in Edmonton a lot longer than expected...I hope the Generosity of people will help them financially by supporting the Gofundme...thank you to those who have sent prayers and donated its much appreciated.
