    We are new parents of little boy with hypospadias. We are told it affects 1/250 baby boys. Just wondering if anyone out there would share their experience and help us decide whether or not to follow through with corrective surgery.

    Many years ago I knew a couple whose baby had this condition. That baby is now married with his own kids. I understand the surgery to repair has a high success rate.

    It depends on the severity of the case. Hypospadias ranges from mild to severe, and mild cases may not require surgery. Please talk to your surgeon to see what they recommend.
