Going to have to make this decision probably sooner than later. How painful and costly is it to do dentures or as they used to be known false teeth. Does it affect your speech when you get them? Any recommendations of where to get it done?

My husband recently got his top plate done and it has made the world of difference to him . He now smiles more and feels more confident. IT was a little pricey we have insurance but he opted to get his teeth out via surgery so that was an added expense but still worth every penny! Legacy Denture did his plate and Sahba is amazing easy to talk to very personable

Our friend's Mother got hers out and her health improved drastically. The infection going through her body from the bad teeth must have been awful. Spouse got his out and when he forgets to put them in he mumbles and sounds like he is having a stroke. When I walk into a room he has a bad habit of taking them out and playing with them and I find that very gross.

Very expensive. About 5K but if you see Kyle, he will charge you 3K  
 
Wearing dentures for the last 15 years, they are annoying. The glue is annoying. I never wear them and I talk fine. Eating can be difficult but again, you will get used to it

Have you had your teeth removed yet?? As you need to give your mouth about 6 months before starting denture process (something about the gums) if you do it before then you can gain sores between gums and denture plate.  
 
I wish a dentist would listen to me and remove my teeth but no I'm too young still even tho I know how much pain I'm in

I have not got my teeth pulled out yet. I am really reluctant to do so. I can’t imagine the pain and discomfort for that long of a time. Must be better alternatives. I still have some good teeth, but a lot more broken and bad ones. Also, I don’t have. $ 5000 to $7000 to spend on them as I was quoted by a certain Westman Dental dentist.

No you do not have to wait 6 month after teeth removal. My husband has his pulled and the dentures were there and were out in right then he has had no issues with them and we are going on 5 months now.

As far as dentures go, and they can be prioceier the higher the quality you go. Believe it or not, it's cheaper to go to Mexico to have this kind of work done. What ever you decide, there's a couple things you want to do after. Wear your dentures all the time: it's uncomfortable as hell, but the faster you acclimate your body to them, the easier it will be. Practice reading out loud, singing and talking out loud when home alone. Gets you used to having the stuff in your mouth. If you go with dentures right away, guaranteed yiou'll need a refit in about a year as that's how long it takes your jawbone to "reshape" itself after your teeth are all gone. Hope this helps.
